If your treatment plan indicates that CBT would be of benefit, 1-1 sessions with a CBT Therapist may be recommended. CBT is structured talking therapy commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be used effectively for other problems. At the start of your session, the therapist will ask you about the problems you want to work on and then plan goals to help you overcome these. Sessions will be weekly and will last approx. 50 minutes and will focus on talking about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Your therapist will also provide worksheets or activities for you to complete in your own time.
At the start of each session, your therapist will ask you to complete a questionnaire that will help them track your progress and be able to offer more personalised guidance.
